The White House has been troubled by leaking fixtures and an infestation of flies according to CNN. During his time as Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus was reportedly summoned by Trump to kill a fly in the oval office. The technical renovations, which were initiated under President Barack Obama, included upgrades the White House's heating, ventilation, air-conditioning system, and IT systems along with a major rehaul of the Oval Office, West Wing, mess hall, and outdoor spaces. Many of the rooms are also undergoing stylistic renovations to better fit Trump's personal decorative preferences for a "patriotic" look.
