Arleta fire damages converted garage and house, displaces four - LA Daily News

A fire that broke out in a converted garage and house in the 13100 block of Branford Street in Arleta displaced four people, the Los Angeles Fire Department said Wednesday morning, Jan. 1.

The fire was reported around 12:04 a.m., and it took 36 firefighters about 35 minutes to put it out, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Steward said.

The cause is being investigated and the amount lost in the fire has not yet been determined, she said.

The home’s occupants were offered shelter with the American Red Cross, Stewart said.
