Steve Bannon could be next on the chopping block. CNN reporting Chief of Staff John Kelly, the man hand-picked by President Trump to establish order in a chaotic white house, reportedly isn't on the best of terms with the chief strategist.
Sources tell CNN that's because Bannon is operating to the beat of his own drum. When asked on NBC's "Meet the Press," if he could work with Bannon, Trump's national security adviser H.R. McMaster deftly dodged. He said, "I get to work together with a broad range of talented people. It's a privilege every day to enable the national security team."
Meanwhile the recently ousted communications director Anthony Scaramucci, in his now famous candid tone, had a simpler answer saying, "If the President really wants to execute that legislative agenda that I think is so promising for the American people...then he has to move away from that sort of Bannon-bart nonsense."

President Trump has been pulled numerous directions in his presidency, owing a large number of his base to the nationalist, alt-right, Breitbart movement Bannon represents.
On the other side of the coin, are the progressives in Trump's administration like son-in-law Jared Kushner, who famously feuded with Bannon.
To make Bannon's narrative worse, Axios reports Trump suspects him as the man behind several damaging leaks about McMaster. So with Bannon staying behind during Trump's lengthy "working vacation" in Bedminister, some wonder if Kelly will do the president's dirty work and leave Bannon behind for good.
